Unearthed | Created by applying washes of ink and by frottage, rubbings made from textured surfaces with pigmented graphite, imbued into the surface of reassembled topographic maps of the Southwest. These works on paper are inspired by the landscape, mineral deposits, artifacts and ancient sediment of the region. The Unearthed series was developed at the Roswell Artist-in-Residence program (RAiR 2016-17) and is still evolving.
